Gypsy, I've been agonizing over posting to your thread but I think I need to. Although the mare seems like a nice horse I think it is a huge mistake to trade for her.

She is green broke and pregnant with a foal that no one wants. That is such an odd combination and pretty much worthless plus the expense of raising it, training it and training the mare to be worth anything.

Now, before everyone jumps on my case for saying the foal is worthless, for all economic reasons among other reasons, who would buy it? It's a mutt and an odd one at that. Just look what is going on at horse sales. In addition, who in their right mind would breed such a cross? That is an excellent example of why there are so many dumb grade crosses out there - people who have no business owning a stud thinking "oh wouldn't it be fun to breed him?" without thinking about what they are going to do with the foal.

As far as the mare is concerned, the people who own her should be horse whipped to allow that horse to come that close to an infant in a stroller. That is just plain irresponsible and dangerous. I have a very well trained gelding that I would trust my life to but the other day something spooked him while I was in the paddock and he blindly ran through my ducks and nearly killed one. That mare just has to lift her head fast to look at something and the baby could be seriously hurt.



Anyway, I had a lot more to say but that pretty much sums it up.

 

I have to definitely agree with iride. While this mare has gorgeous colouring and a pretty face, she is not worth it. Only green broke? In my opinion that is asking for trouble. From what I can see from your previous posts, you need a sturdy, completely broke, reliable horse that will build up your confidence. And pregnant as well? In my opinion thats the responsibility of a horse breeder, not a regular horse owner. Sorry if I sounded harsh in ANY way, but that is just my opinion.

I wan't going to respond either... I don't see anything about her that I couldn't live without. She's just average at best and then to be in foal and only greenbroke I'd say your in for a world of heartache. Time and money wasted. I'm being honest about my opinions here not harsh...Sometimes honesty is a hard pill to swallow.

As for the stroller picture, I am going to remove it. It's downright dangerous and I about fell out of my chair when I saw it. I can't leave that on the forum. It's promoting something very dangerous. I hope you understand. Please PM me if you have a problem with my decision. I'd gladly talk to you about it.

 

Thanks guys! Dont worry im not getting her. See i put gypsy on the market 2,000 obo or possible trade. I got two ladies who wanted to trade with me, they both seemed really interested and bla bla and then their husbands came home and both said no. Its soooo annoying. So no more trades for me! lol or just no husbands...
Oh and I so agree with the srtoller pic I was shocked to!
